With the use of the eChiller, among other things, we were clearly able to meet our goal of operating a sustainable, environmentally friendly data center. The implementation of the thermodynamic cycle process in the eChiller systems far exceeded the energy saving expectation. The savings were achieved, among other things, by the free cooling mode and stepless partial load control. We are also positively impressed by the extremely quiet operation of the systems. We are convinced that Efficient Energy's technology can prevail in many sectors of the economy.

Would you work with this company again?

Yes. No problems with the products and — as far as I know — still the only chiller with water as refrigerant. Meanwhile we equipped three locations with different conditions: IT-Cooling, with cold-water-reservoir, IT-cooling without reservoir (work in progress) and comfort cooling.

Efficient Energy GmbH: company profile.

Efficient Energy GmbH is a manufacturer and system supplier of environmentally friendly refrigeration technology based near Munich, Germany. The company produces the eChiller line of chillers, which use pure water (R718) as the refrigerant — entirely eliminating fluorinated refrigerants while delivering high energy efficiency. The eChiller systems cover cooling capacities from 20 to 45 kW per unit and scale modularly to 300 kW, making them suitable for data centres, office buildings, and industrial process cooling. The thermodynamic cycle process enables free cooling modes and stepless partial load control, resulting in very high EER values and near-silent operation.
